For A Lost Soldier

At some point during the second world war, a Dutch boy of maybe eleven years fell in love with a Canadian soldier who was passing through his area with his military contingent. One day, without warning, the beloved soldier, with his contingent, moved on. It was a devastating experience for the boy. This event was described in a book titled “For a Lost Soldier,” which was made into a movie.

Rudi van Dantzi, the boy who suffered the loss of his friend, was the author of the book and the choreographer of the little ballet that is captured in the this video.
